    End Effector

    Chip Handling Equipment

    Description:
    End Effector used to transport LCC's and flat pin grid-type devices from storage and handling tubes to kitting trays. The End Effector is able to handle all sizes of devices from 1/4 to 1 3/4 inch wide. The devices can be square or rectangular, i.e. 1/4 x 1 3/4 inch.
    Application:
    Used in the semiconductor industry for LCC handling. Can also be used to maneuver small parts in tight areas or customize to your assembly process.
    Design Highlights:
    Extremely accurate centering (within .005 inches) of devices coincident with the robot spin axis. Able to transport many different sizes. Rotation and slide axes accept devices from various angle singulation nests. The barcode scanner is used to verify that the proper part is selected.
    Benefit:
    Easily adapts to existing robots. Electro-pneumatic drives and closed-loop position sensing makes it simple and reliable. Computer controlled.
